Pediatric Ambulatory care has five family care centers located in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Each center is set up like a private office and has its own special ambiance. Experienced faculty care for the patients and precept residents to provide a training environment which focuses on continuity of care and longitudinal follow up of patients. Emphasis is placed on well child care, growth and development, nutrition, screening, anticipatory guidance, immunizations, safety and preventive care, as well as management acute and chronic illness. Population Health and Quality Metrics  are an integral part of  the training.  

All our primary care sites  are recognized as Patient Centered Medical Homes and strive to deliver care that emphasizes care coordination and communication to transform primary care into “what patients want it to be.” Medical homes can lead to high quality care, lower hospitalization, costs, and improves patient and provider care experience.

HealthySteps, a program of ZERO TO THREE, is an evidence-based, interdisciplinary pediatric primary care program that promotes the health, well-being and school readiness of toddlers, with an emphasis on families living in low-income communities.
