The Division of Pediatric Cardiology offers pediatric inpatient and outpatient services. We diagnose and provide treatment for a wide range of pediatric cardiac conditions such as:
Congenital heart diseases | Hypertension |
Arrhythmias | Palpitations |
Heart murmurs | Endocarditis & Pericarditis |
Syncope | Hyperlipidemia |
Rheumatic fever | Kawasaki disease |
Chest pain | Marfan syndrome |
A typical visit begins with the assessment of vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, height and weight, followed an electrocardiogram. You then will meet with the pediatric cardiologist who will take a thorough medical history, as well as cardiac and non-cardiac family history. Based on this evaluation and physical examination, if further testing is needed (such as an echocardiogram, Holter monitor, or exercise stress testing) it can be performed on the same day as your visit.
Services offered:
- Electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Transthoracic echocardiography
- Fetal echocardiography
- Holter monitoring
- Event recording/monitors
- Non-invasive stress testing.
